About Trish Cloonan

I am coming to Real Estate business after a long career in the Hospitality Industry. Most recently, I was Director of Catering with the Priory Hospitality Group. My customer service skills and attention to detail provided my clients with the peace of mind that they needed for some of the most important days of their life. Many people in the North Hills area are likely to remember me as the Chef/Owner of the Park Café & Catering Company in North Park. Again, attention to detail, doing whatever it takes to make the job successful, and client satisfaction that I brought to my business assured many repeat customers and referrals.

While catering, I had the opportunity to work in the kitchens of some of Pittsburgh’s finest homes. I love the opportunity to offer my clients qualified advice on kitchen design and entertainment. No matter what the price range of a home, the kitchen will always be the heart. While many other agents may see a listing as bricks and square footage, I encourage clients to see their next purchase as their next HOME. And for my clients selling, I have full respect of the memories made under that roof and will respect and appreciate their concerns through every step of the sometimes stressful process.

While I love working with so many different clients, each with their own story and facing different chapters in their lives, the h business prevented me from giving my own young family the attention they deserved. As a mom of four, my greatest accomplishment is seeing my children grow into caring, funny, intelligent, and capable young adults that I actually love to spend time with! Our favorite past time is traveling, often on a budget, but packing as much hiking, eating, and getting to know as many new friends as possible. This past summer, we climbed mountains and trekked through caves in Ireland, rowed on the Thames in England, and while in Italy, we cliff-dove into the Mediterranean, toured Rome, and ate our way through every town. In the states, we love to camp in Maine, hike in the Rocky Mountains, and spend time on the shore of Edisto Island, SC.

My own family also cultivated my client services skills as well. As the daughter of Irish immigrants, my mom from Co. Kerry and dad from Co. Galway, I have a huge family of people whom caring for others is only natural. As you enter the front door of house of my relations, you know that you are entering HOME. A cup of tea is set in front of you and the mix of laughter and tears starts flowing. I am so proud of all that my family has contributed to the Pittsburgh community. The O’Donoghue and Cloonan families have been responsible for much of the Irish culture in the city of Pittsburgh. My Uncle Tom owned the Blarney Stone Restaurant, my Uncle Denis was one of Pittsburgh’s Top Chefs, my Uncle Mike was the host of the “Irish Hour” radio program, the band, Guaranteed Irish, is made up of my cousins, to name just a few. My father was the founding father of the Pittsburgh Celtics Irish Football Club and my mother has served as president of the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians and started the St. Brigid’s Court in the annual St. Patrick’s Parade to recognize young women facing physical/medical challenges. I was crowned Miss Smiling Irish Eyes in 1992 and then represented the United States at the Maiden of the Mourne Pageant in Northern Ireland later that summer.

As I became a young adult, my interests expanded in areas including rowing and fitness. I was a University of Pittsburgh Lightweight Rower and have been a part of the Three Rivers Rowing Assn. Master’s Women for many years. I have also served as Head Rowing Coach of Taylor Allderdice High School and Carlow College. I love showing visitors Pittsburgh, “from the river”. The shorelines of the Allegheny have changed so much in the past 20 years and I see only continued housing and commercial improvements from the dingy steel town leftovers that were part of the scenery when I set my first set my blades in the water in 1988.

My family still supports rowing from our home here in North Allegheny School District. We are also a part of the football program, community soccer, intra-mural basketball and cheerleading. I am very familiar with the district, and know many teachers and administrators as friends. I am currently work one-two days/week as a Special Education Assistant, usually at NA Intermediate. My children currently attend Hosack Elementary, North Allegheny Intermediate and North Allegheny Senior High. My oldest graduated in 2014 and received a full-tuition scholarship from the Army ROTC to attend the University of Colorado, Boulder.

In addition to my own four, we are also hosting an Exchange student from France this year. The program of Rotary International is a great opportunity for young people and we are looking forward to my oldest daughter traveling as an exchange student to Spain next year.

As my career progresses, I hope that my old catering clients will become my new real estate clients. I am going to provide the same exceptional service to selling your home as I did to coordinating your daughter’s wedding or preparing the banquet for your grandma’s 90th birthday. Once you are a client, you are always a friend, and you are always welcome to our table.
